PostHeaderIcon Taking whitening pills during pregnancy?

Im in my 1st month of pregnancy and Im taking whitening pills (glutathione/meta-thione) is it safe? and im taking vitamin c too… so is it okay?

I would check with your doctor but I think you should be careful. Let the baby come first and stop taking the whitening pills. The most damage from chemicals etc is done early in the pregnancy when all organs and limbs are forming.

whitening pills? What is that good for? I would say it is not ok. Anything that is not medically necessary is not ok. You should be taking prenatal vitamins or at least folic acid and any medication you normally take should be discussed with doctor.

Don’t take any pill your body doesn’t need. Vitamines are good ( especially prenatal)… but beauty stuff ? I really wouldn’t trust this :S.

I wouldn’t take those. Stop taking them and talk to your doctor about them. The most you should be taking is prenatal vitamins and whatever medications your doctor says are safe such as Tylenol.
