Dog liver shunt?
I have a 4yr old corgi who has a liver shunt. Currently he is not on any medications except for the Science Diet L/D. I was browsing through the smartpak website and found a supplement called Denosyl, which is for liver support. Do you think this supplement would benefit him?

Denosyl has been shown to markedly increase liver glutathione levels in dogs and cats. However, Denosyl’s activities go far beyond just increasing glutathione levels. It has also been shown to protect liver cells from cell death and may help cell repair and healing. 90 mg for Cats and Small Dogs (Up to 12 lbs), 225 mg for Medium Dogs (13 to 34 lbs), or 425 mg for Large Dogs (Over 34 lbs). 30 Tablets.
These is a wonderful Yahoo Group for owners of dogs with liver problems called canineliver-d. I fostered a Corgi with liver issues, and they were very helpful and caring. I would suggest you join and ask you question there.

How about checking with your vet? If your dog has a shunt, you should not be randomly medicating him with stuff you find by chance.
