PostHeaderIcon Lighten Your Age Spots and Freckles With a Natural Agespot Reducer

Let’s face it… nobody likes age and dark spots on their skin, particularly on their face, scalp and neck.

Age and dark spots can happen for a number of reasons. The most obvious is natural skin aging, you’re either going to get them or you won’t, each of us have different skin pigmentations and varying types and levels of melanin.

Melanin is a class of compounds found in plants, animals and humans. The most common form of biological melanin is eumelanin a black brown polymer. Another common form is pheomelanin a red brown polymer largely responsible for peoples red hair and freckles. Melanin is also excellent at absorbing UV radiation because of its photochemical properties, and keeps the generation of free radicals to a minimum.

Regardless of its benefits Melanin isn’t an agespot reducer, in fact your skin needs a little help to accomplish this task.

Thankfully, there are new ingredients in certain natural skin care creams that have been shown to make a difference in helping to fade dark and age spot away.

The following ingredients have been instrumental in helping to reduce dark age spots:

Extrapolate Nutgrass – The nutgrass root has been shown in clinical trials to inhibit the formation of the skin pigment melanin.

Natural Vitamin E – A powerful anti-oxidant, shown in many scientific studies to reverse the effects of aging on the skin. It helps to prevent age spots appearing and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Cynergy TK – It contains functional keratin which is similar to the basic protein found in human skin. It can stimulate and rejuvenate new skin cells. Using Cynergy TK is almost like applying a liquid skin to your face and body. It improves skins brightness giving your face an even more creamy youthful appearance.

Grapeseed Oil – Another powerful anti-oxidant that creates an invisible film on your skin to keep moisture in. It is rich in linoleic acid and other natural essential oils, and also contains natural vitamin E.

Shea Butter – An emollient used in many good quality skin creams. It helps reduce blemishes and brown spots; it can also help soften the skin.

In conclusion, it’s clear that using skin care creams containing the above natural substances can be useful as an age spot reducer.

Visit my website, to see which natural safe cutting edge anti-aging, anti-wrinkle skin care creams, I now chose to use on my skin every day.

PostHeaderIcon is Diet cherry 7 up antioxidant 100% natural flavors bad for you?

hi, Mr. Smiley here and i was wondering if diet 7 up (the one above) is bad for you. It doesen’t have caffeine which is a huge factor to me because im a runner, and it has antioxidants. Anyway if i do drink it its only on rare occasions like once every week or so and its only this type of soda, since i don’t drink caffeine drinks

I avoid artificial sweeteners. Aspartame, Splenda (sucralose), and saccharine, etc. I use Stevia, honey, and organic sugar once in a while. But I guess a little of the Diet 7UP is okay. =)

PostHeaderIcon Antioxidant Food Supplements

Antioxidant supplements play a protective role for our general health including the health of our hair. Antioxidants supplements are supposed to slow down the oxidation reactions which are brought about by the free radicals. The Free radicals are highly reactive unstable atoms generated in our body that can damage cells leading to a number of diseases and ageing.According to the Free-radical theory of aging, these highly reactive oxygen species (ROS), damage the DNA, proteins and other cellular structures like the cell membranes and cell organelles.

The reaction of free radicals within cells, and subsequent damage has been linked to a range of disorders and chronic diseases including cancer, arthritis, atherosclerosis, alzheimer’s and diabetes and inflammatory conditions

Antioxidants are able to slow down or block these dangerous reactions in the body. They do it either by reacting with intermediates and halting the oxidation reaction directly. They react with the free radicals and prevent the oxidation reaction from occurring.

Antioxidants supplements can be taken as dietary supplements or taken as tablets and capsules. Studies suggest those dietary antioxidants supplements provide a range of are benefits for our health. However, excess antioxidant supplementation may be counter-productive.

Diet carrying antioxidant supplements

A healthy and balanced diet containing antioxidant supplements plays a pivotal role in retaining your hair’s health. Some of the herbal nutrition supplements and some fruits which contain antioxidants serve as natural medications for hair loss.Antioxidant food supplements are found in various forms – vegetables, fruits, grain cereals, legumes, nuts, etc. The sources of antioxidants include fruits (berries and peppers, apple skins, cider, wine), vegetables (spinach, tea leaves), fungi (mushrooms), whole grain cereals (hops, barley, millet and maize), nuts (pecans, pistachios, almonds), beans (cacao including chocolate, coffee).

Polyphenol antioxidants

This type of antioxidant is characterized by the presence of several phenol functions. It is found in a wide array of phytonutrient-bearing foods. Examples include – most of the legumes; fruits like apples, blackberries, cantaloupe, cherries, cranberries, grapes, pears, plums, raspberries, and strawberries; vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, celery, onion and parsley. All the above are rich sources of polyphenol antioxidants.Alternative sources of polyphenol antioxidant include red wine, chocolate, green tea, olive oil, bee pollen and several grains.

Antioxidant vitamins

Some of the vitamins that are good sources of antioxidants,. the antioxidant vitamins are–vitamins A, C and E.

Vitamin A

The animal form of vitamin A is retinol. It is a yellow, fat-soluble antioxidant vitamin found in animal foods such as eggs, liver, whole milk and fortified foods like fat-reduced milk, cereals and breads. Vitamin A, are the dark-colored pigments found in plant foods like fruits and vegetables (especially dark green leafy ones) and include spinach, cantaloupe, carrots, sweet potatoes and squash.

PostHeaderIcon NEW Cycle Natural Radiance Recipe dog food – good, bad?

My puppy is eating Science Diet Small Bite Dry Puppy Food.
I’ve heard that any Hill’s Science Diet food is just so-so for quality and nutrition.
I would like to spend about the same $ , but if I can get something better & more nutritionally sound for same price…I’d be interest in checking it out.

A NEW dry dog food just came out and I have no knowledge about it:

Cycle Natural Radiance Recipe
- dry food
- in Puppy, Adult, Senior, Overweight formulas
- Del Monte is the manufacturer

Claims are:
- Rich, natural protein from chicken meal for strong muscles.
- Vegetables loaded with antioxidants for strong immune system.
- Whole grains for healthy digestive system.
- Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids for healthy skin, shiny coat
- No added Gluten or filler.
- Made in Canada (but I’ve no idea where ingredients come from).

At Walmart CANADA and Zellers.

Saw it today and Chicken, Soy Protein were top of ingredient list.

** Need your input on buying it?

Much Thanks

Chicken meal is the pure chicken with liquid removed. It’s much better to have meal as a first ingredient, than say, chicken which when dried is not the first ingredient anymore! Wheat is a big fat no no! I’ve heard good things about newman’s just make sure there’s no corn or wheat or glutens in any food you decide on.
EDIT: I just checked newman’s own. the first ingredient appears to be chicken, which when dried will move way down the ingredient chain. Then chick meal, fine…then about 5 or 6 grains…that’s kind of alot. If your’ pup has no allergy problem to it, I guess it would be fine.

PostHeaderIcon How much tea can I have in a day?

*Note* I only drink natural caffeine free tea and don’t add anything (except lemon or honey when I’m not feeling well)

I know that the antioxidants are good for you and there are other health benefits but i t seems that if you have too much of something it loses its goodness. I drink up to 7-8 cups a day!

Can drinking that much tea be bad for you?

NO that is healthy, your fine

PostHeaderIcon has anyone heard of merlot skin care?

Please respond if you have tried merlot skin care/ it is an all natural line found at walgreens that contains grape seed extract and is said to be a natural antioxidant more powerful than vitamin C-

It is true that grape seed extract is an antioxidant, but be careful about the packaging of these products because any antioxidant loses its power if unproperly packaged (light and air is bad: the best would be an airtight pump dispenser in an opaque container). Also, the concentration in these products doesn´t seem to be enough for any significative results.

PostHeaderIcon Can some people check for me my written assay please?

Crude palm oil is the richest source of carotenoids in nature. These natural pigments are responsible for intense yellow, orange and red colours do have potential to be manipulated as colourants. The replacement of synthetic colourant to natural one can avoid any potential harm to the body when consuming it.

Polyphenols also have potential to be investigated in various parts of oil palm derivative such as crude palm oil, different parts of oil palm tree and oil palm agrowastes. This isolated polyphenols may act as antioxidant with potential health benefits. They may reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Both carotenoids and polyphenols are suitable for application in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.

The petroleum based plastics can be substituted with biological degradable plastics. This can be made by utilizing oil palm agrowaste like empty fruit bunches and palm oil mill effluent to a certain process using microbes. Therefore, this oil palm based bioplastics will make them less dependent on the price off oil.

"Assay" is a test of ore for the presence of certain metals (such as determining the aluminum content of bauxite), or a test of the purity of certain metals (such as determining the proportion of gold to base metal in a gold object).

PostHeaderIcon Is There a Necessity for All Natural Healthy Skin Care Recipes?

Looking for some all natural healthy skin care recipes? The effective ones depend on your overall goal. Let’s start with cleansing.

Orange oil is an effective cleanser, although it is not possible to extract the oil from the peel, at home. Colloidal oatmeal is a good and soothing cleanser, but that’s not what’s found in your box of Quaker oats.

Tea tree oil, witch hazel and manuka honey have antibacterial and antioxidant activity. But, you can’t make any of those at home, either. You can order active manuka honey from New Zealand, but it is intended to be taken orally or applied to injuries and covered with a band-aid. In order for it to work as a general cleanser, it must be dehydrated and then added to emollients. Again, that’s something that you can’t do at home.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of safe skincare solutions, it’s just that most of the all natural healthy skin care recipes that you see on the internet are unlikely to be beneficial or effective. I believe in avoiding artificial preservatives, added fragrances and dyes, as well as petrochemicals, because many of them contribute to our cancer risk.

I also believe in letting the experts develop my skincare solutions. I just don’t rely on the cosmetic industry, anymore. They are experts in making big profits, but not taking care of the skin’s health.

I found a company, located in beautiful New Zealand that is an expert on caring for the skin’s health and delaying or reducing the signs of advancing age. They have the best all natural healthy skin care recipes.

The ingredients that they use include active manuka honey, witch hazel, avocado oil, Shea butter, coenzyme Q10, vitamin E, wakame kelp, olive oil, capuacu butter, vitamin B5, grape seed oil, jojoba oil and a bio-active form of keratin.

All of these provide unique benefits for the skin’s health and some are best designed for use during the day, others at night. Some are important only for men, while others are important for both sexes. But, if they are not properly formulated, they will not provide any benefit at all.

For example, coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E solutions are effective antioxidants, but if they are not specifically emulsified for use on the skin, they won’t penetrate. I have seen all natural healthy skin care recipes that promote the use of orange juice, because of its antioxidant activity. Orange juice won’t penetrate, either.

The skin is practically waterproof. If an ingredient is to be beneficial to the skin’s cells, it must be able to get through that waterproof barrier. You and I simply do not have the technology in our kitchens to prepare these solutions.

Bottom line, it would be hard to find something beneficial that has not been modified in some way. If you want something effective, look for a company that has their own all natural healthy skin care recipes and use their products. That’s your best bet.

PostHeaderIcon What are some other natural remedies for anxiety?

I’ve tried 5-htp…which actually helps a smidge, but it helps more with lifting my mood than decreasing my anxiety…I’ve also tried Kava Kava, which i didn’t notice much help, plus after researching I’ve noticed that’s it’s proven to be bad on your liver. I take a multi and make sure I get enough omega-3 fatty acid and antioxidants. I eat a very healthy diet with natural food, very little meat(but make sure to get enough protein)..except I eat alot of fish, lots of green tea, and whole grains..I have a well behaved daughter, love my job, try to think positively, etc. etc…It’s all basically for no reason. I don’t have alot of stress in my life and almost feel ashamed to feel worried or anxious most of the time but I’ve honestly tried my very best and I can’t gt rid of it. Do I just have to face the fact that I need to be on medication? Or can something actually help? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!! P.s. I don’t want anything that will make me feel tired.

If you don’t want to feel tired, I recommend Valerian. It will calm your nerves and steady you without making you feel tired or sleepy.
I actually took this years ago because I thought it would help me sleep, it didn’t — directly anyway, but it did stop the noise of my mind so that I could relax enough to fall asleep. (1 tsp. c/s dried herb per 8oz. water should do the trick.)

There’s also Ginseng, but I would NOT take this on the job… Again. It interfered with my short-term memory and ability to do basic math! And no, I am not kidding. It would be great for after work and bed time though. You’ll hardly remember your own name, much less what’s bugging your conscious or subconscious mind.

PostHeaderIcon What’s the point of putting something safe/natural in/on something artificial/harmful?

Like Planters new campaign, bragging about using all natural sea salt (which is healthy as opposed to regular table salt, which is harmful) on nuts that have been genetically manipulated?

And like how Dial is advertising their new antioxidant soap, which still has toxic chemicals in it, like glycerin and propylene glycol?
Accountant, there are natural, vegetable glycerins, and then there are artificial ones. If it doesn’t say vegetable in front of it, it’s not the real deal.
Glycerin, although considered as a low hazard, it has been linked to cancer, developmental, reproductive and organ toxicity, endocrine disruption, and irritation of the skin, eyes and lungs.

http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ingredient.php?ingred06=702620

So if you’re using multiple products several times a day, everyday with that stuff in it, who knows when you cross the line from safe over to unsafe levels?

It does seem like an exercise in futility. Genetically-manipulated food has been linked to a horrible disease called Morgellons. Producers should label any food that has been genetically altered.

ETA: @ Pat G: The Center for Disease Control says it IS a disease. Who are you going to believe, the CDC or Wikipedia???
