Glutathione question,?
Hi, I’m planning on taking glutathione pills, but I have a few questions.
1. Can I take it without any prescription?
2. Will it help with my dark circles?
3. Will it help the uneven skin?
4. Will it help with dark spots? (darl neck, elbows, underarms…)
5. Is it safe?
6. What is the perfect dosage for whitening and maintenance?
7. Do I also need Vitamin C capsules?
Thank you so much!!!!
Hi Luke,
Yes you can take glutathione without a prescription. Yes it is safe. The glutathione that I take has Vitamin C already in it.

Will it help with those conditions you have? Well that will be determined by actually taking the supplement.
I suggest you check out http://www.maximumglutathione.com
They have a 30 day money back program. I have been taking it for the past month and have had much improved energy, no swelling in my surgically repaired foot (which prior was an every day occurrence) and great focus.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Anybody knows-Glutathione?
I just pruchase glutathione and I just want to know who have taken it and saw a good result. How many id you take per day did and they say take with vitamin c. any vitamin c is it?
I haven’t taken it but your question got me curious, so I started researching. This sounds like a great supplement for cell regeneration. I think the reasons they recommend you take it with Vit C is because Vit C helps your body regenerate cells, too, and repair itself. You might find this Q&A link interesting:

Potential Side Effects: (This list may not be exhaustive) Diarrhoea, Stomach Upset, nausea, bloating, headaches, water retention, body odour.
Ingredient Profile: HyperCre Complex? 3450mg (Individual Ingredient Quantities not specified):
Magnesium creatine chelate, creatine ethyl ester hcl, betaine anhydrous, taurine ethyl ester di-HCI, arginine ethyl ester di-hcl, glycocyamine, k-rala, 4-hydroxyisoleucine (20%)
Magnesium Creatine Chelate: This is an advanced creatine, relatively new on the market. Designed to increase creatine absorption, by combining creatine with magnesium, the creatine is protected from stomach acid. It may therefore offer greater bioavailability than regular creatine. Creatine is useful to the bodybuilder as it it increases the short bursts of power needed to lift weights. It assists with muscle building as it aids recovery between sets by replenishing ATP stores (muscle energy) quicker.
Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL: Is another advanced form of creatine. It is creatine monohydrate with an ester attached. Esters are organic compounds that are formed by esterification – the reaction of carboxylic acid and alcohols, from which it is made. In the body, CEE is converted back into creatine. Because it is slightly more lipophilic, the ethyl ester allows for easier absorption into cells, and a longer half-life in the body. Creatine is useful to the bodybuilder as it increases the short bursts of power needed to lift weights. It assists with muscle building as it aids recovery between sets by replenishing ATP stores (muscle energy) quicker
betaine anhydrous: Betaine Anhydrous is a vitamin derived from choline. Betaine is essential for the maintenance of intestinal function and cell production. It may also promote lean mass and increase appetite
taurine ethyl ester di-HCI: Taurine is an organic acid and a potent antioxidant found in tissues of animals and in plants. Taurine can expand your muscle cells by helping the cell hold water, this is positive for the bodybuilder as the muscles will look fuller and increased hydration can aid protein synthesis. The fact the taurine in Green Bulge is Taurine Ethyl Ester di-HCL means that the taurine should be absorbed more easily absorbed.
Arginine ethyl ester di-hcl: is composed of an arginine molecule that is more easily absorbed and more resistant to chemical breakdown in the body. The benefits will be similar to arginine; Arginine is important in cell division, wound healing, removing ammonia from the body, immune function and the release of hormones. Arginine is the immediate pre cursor of Nitric Oxide and is necessary for the synthesis of creatine. As a precursor of Nitric Oxide it is used to increase blood flow to the muscle. Arginine also increases the production of growth hormone.
Glycocyamine: Glycocyamine is a precursor to creatine, essentially Glycocyamine converts to creatine in the body, the benefit of this is glycocyamine has a high oral bioavailability and is efficiently converted into creatine. This would then offer the same benefits of creatine. Taking Glycocyamine with Betaine (as is included in Controlled Labs Green Bulge in a 4:1 Betaine to Glycocyamine ratio) is considered to be safer than taking Glycocyamine alone.
k-rala: K-RALA is part of a potent antioxidant couple (with R-DHLA) that detoxifies the free radicals released during the energy-producing process. K-RALA has a significant effect on other cellular antioxidants such as vitamins C and E, as well as CoQ10 and glutathione. K-RALA is added to this supplement to “scavenge free radicals” and to make Green Bulge “Healthy”.
4-hydroxyisoleucine: may amplify carbohydrate-induced insulin secretion. This supplement allows nutrients (which may include creatine) to be loaded at a cellular level. 4-Hydroxyisoleucine may also increase the receptivity of muscle cells to insulin, which would increase nutrient storage in muscles.

Re food supplements: I am a sucker for food supplements? Are they healthy and really promote one’s health
and wellness? What are the side effects and other harm it can do to our body? I’ve been taking VCO in capsules, ganoderma, amway products, cosway products and even glutathione and vitamin C. I just stopped taking Vit E since the one i used to take was synthetic.
Heh, it’s a hard question.
I’m sure you must have met the health nut who learns some literature, and then decides you need to use ____ and ____ and ___, and before long a 100 things have gotten on the list, yet when it’s all said and done, you don’t see any major difference between the obsessive supplement/holistic health person, and some random guy on the street.
This is one of the most common points I see to discredit supplements.
Anyhow, here are the basic points of supplementing that I think matter.
1) Ability to absorb into body. Generally speaking, the lower quality supplements will not be absorbed by your body (or say 5% of the total ammount you brought in actually gets into your body). For this reason, the type you get is extremely important. I read a long article detailing this, if you want I can dig it up.
2) Supplements gotten from food. Generally speaking, fresh food is the best source of supplements. The absorbtion process I referred to earlier is optimal here. One of the funniest consequences of this fact resides in the act that the calcium in pasteurized milk doesn’t really absorb, while that in leafy green vegatables fills your system, (so as a result, many people actually get most of their calcium from vegatables, contrary to what all the got milk adds insinuate.)
3) Unfortunately, due to bad treatment of soils, many are extremely lacking in minerals, and as a result, many vegatables gotten these days are lacking all the minerals needed for human consumption. Some guy was actually famous for seeding farmers crop lands with the minerals he found to be missing, and having the resulting food be extremely healthy and have higher crop yields (I can get the source). Also, a lot of the meat we have these days is factory farmed, and mostly fed a diet of corn and soy. As a result it never is allowed the opportunity to collect the valuable trace minerals we would normally need.
4) From all the reading I have done thusfar on supplements, the consistent trend has been that "supplementing normally has a minimal effect on health….unless the mineral is already deficient in the individual, in which case the affects are extraordinary. So, if you were missing selenium, and you took a multivitamin that had selenium along with 50 other things, it would benefit you, but a tiny pill with only the selenium would do nearly the same thing. As a result, getting a simple blood test to determine what supplements you are lacking is the way to go.
5) Despite all the criticisms I have given, I support supplementing, but mainly avoid it due to the fact that I can never remember to take pills (and don’t want to spend money on them, but when I lived with my parents, the forgetfullness was enough to make me abstain). I have quite a few friends who are naturopaths, and they all rabidly support supplementation, with justifiable reasons, I am just slightly more conservative on the matter.
6) there are "miracle" supplements that pop up every now and then, claiming to cure all ills. I personally believe most of these are simply marketing gimmics. However…many times their claims completely apply if they are a lacking mineral in your body. I do actually think there are a few supplements floating around that could have amazing effects, regardless of if you have a defficiency etc, but those that fulfill this model are fairly rare. At this point in time I’m investigating hydrogen peroxide, and various solids that break down into it in the bloodstream.
Hope that was a good answer!
*I do use vitamin C, but I recently found out nearly all vit C in the US is produced in China, which has a fairly awful record for quality of products (ie. allowing a lot of toxic chemicals to get into the production). This is another issue to watch out for with supplements.

An Introduction To Anti Oxidants
Anti Oxidants are quite frequently in use now a days for nutritional and prevention purposes. These are being recommended by doctors to offer protection to living cells from effects of undesired oxidation reaction. The reaction in certain situations results in chemicals that could even pose threat to the very existence of living cells. Anti oxidant primarily tries to reduce the rate of certain specific oxidation reactions that may cast negative impact on various components of a cell.
In normal situation all living cells possess antioxidants that offer needed protection to cell components. Some of them happen to be enzyme substrate. For example- ascorbic acid. Polyphenol anti oxidant happens to be a normal requisite for all mammals including human beings. Anti oxidants are specifically meant to be helpful in prevention of cardiovascular complication and cancer. However, there exists a controversy over efficacy of anti oxidant medications for various health purposes.
Synthetically prepared antioxidants have more than hundred year old history. In earlier days these anti oxidants were used to check the oxidation reaction pertaining to unsaturated fats. The research in the field of anti oxidants got a real boost, once vitamin C, A and E got identified with anti oxidant properties.
Anti oxidants in cell could effectively check the chain reaction brought about by hydrogen peroxide. These reactive oxygen in absence of an efficient antioxidant could even lead to mutational changes of dangerous type that may give way to cancer.
For people having high level of LDL cholesterol, anti oxidants are recommended to prevent further chemical reactions with LDL that often lead to plaque formation and ultimately cause cardiovascular diseases.
Thus anti oxidants are widely in use due to its two major benefits. The first is its property of being antiatherogenic as it prevents heart related complication and the second beneficial trait of anti oxidants is its anti carcinogenic nature.
Apart from that an antioxidant could be of great help in keeping your eyes in good condition. It also helps strengthen over all immune system of the body.
A good number dietary products are full of anti oxidant properties that could be consumed in plenty for keeping the body in healthy condition. Glutathione, thioredoxin and peroxiredoxin are some of the anti oxidant chemicals that are sold in market as an anti oxidant drug. However there are n-number of other chemicals too that serve the anti oxidant functions well.
But usage of anti oxidants has resulted in various side effects as well. So you should strictly use anti oxidants in consultation with health care provider only.
