Are there any "definitive" studies that show that vitamin supplements actually work?
I heard that antioxidant supplements don’t really work and that omega 3 supplements probably do.
Hello i dont know about studies but ive been taking Vit C and Zinc tablets now for the past 2 years. Before that I was the sort of person who caught everone elses colds wether it was summer or winter. Since taking these I can honestly say ive only had one cold and it only lasted 3 days and wasnt as bad as everyone elses.

it is hard to quantify the effectiveness of nutritional supplements because of the way that human biology functions. conversely there is definitive proof of the effects of a lack of nutrients (vitamins/minerals) in the diet over an extended period.
personally I’ve done the math regarding the amounts of various vitamins and minerals derived from the healthiests of diets and have still found there to be deficiency of certain nutrients even when supplementing with a multi-vitamin. I don’t play with my health, the cost of staying healthy is worth it to me.
